Christmas

I am so excited for Christmas! It seems like it has taken forever to get here! And now it is here! THIS WEEK! It has been a rough few months but i think we are finally getting back into the swing of things. We are hoping it will not be too long before we get to have another baby! More than anything i want to be a mom! I know that i am a mom already to our sweet angel! But i also want to have someone here i can be a mom to! Brady wants so bad to be a dad! I know he will be so great! We got some really beautiful ornaments this year! One for Murry and one for our baby! They just sparkles with the lights! I will have to post some more decoration pics later. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!!

WE GOT OUR TREE!! YEA!!

Sorry for all of you that have fake trees. I very strongly dislike them! There is just something about a fresh cut tree that brings the christmas spirit into your home! I love the imperfectness about them! I think my favorite thing though is the smell! It is so great!! When i married Brady he had a fake tree. He was gone so much and it was less hassle. But he knew how i felt. Last year we went with our friends the Hansen's to Idaho and cut one down. It was so great! We have decided that we are going to continue this tradition every year! It is such a great time! This year my brother and sister went with us to get one for my mom's house. Of course i talked Brady into letting Gus come!! We planned on taking our razor and borrow one of Julie's 4 wheelers. Well there was a problem. Our razor battery was dead! Totally!! We are figuring that the lights got left on and then the light caught on fire and melted the cover. So we need a new battery and whole new light. So we decided we would drive up as far as we could. Once we got up there there was the cutest family! They had 4 little kids and ALL of them were piled on to one 4 wheeler! We helped them get loaded up and Brady chatted with him a little. They said they kids were freezing but had a great time! They were so cute and loved Gus! Gus loved playing in the snow! He rolled all over in it! Making "Gus Angels" and then jumping up his face covered in snow! We had to walk a bit trying to find a good tree. Gus ran everywhere! He gets so hyper in the snow! The snow on the hills was SO deep! Gus would follow Brady and James as they went to check out trees and some of the time the snow was deeper then Gus was tall! He didn't care though!! James and Audrey found a tree pretty quick. James being James brought his machette. Yes machette! He thought it would be so cool to cut down a Christmas tree with it! Haha! He is a huge John Wayne fan and in the movie Donavan's Reef they cut down their Christmas tree with one. So i guess he figured if John Wayne can do it why can't he?! Haha! Audrey said she was laughing so hard while he was cutting it! We have such a tall ceiling in our living room we wanted a tall bushy tree. Brady was kinda picky! Haha! We finally found a perfect one! It was so pretty! Brady told me that since he cut the one last year (and that was a trial! The saw broke! haha!) i got to cut it this year! He started it and i got to finish! It was so cool! I loved it! Brady carried it down and on the way back down the hill i fell! Haha! so insteading of getting back up i just slid all the way down! We didn't think that we had walked that far but by the time we got back to the truck we realized it! We drank some hot chocolate and then headed back home! Of course we stopped at Big J's to get food! Mmmmmmm!! So yummy! Tonight i am going to set the tree up in the living room and tomorrow when i get home from work Brady and i will decorate it! It is so great! It means Christmas is coming soon!! Yay! I only have two more presents to get and then my shopping is done! Yay!! Then the rest of the season i can just enjoy it!! I will post pictures when it get decorated! Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas Decorations

I LOVE Christmas so so much!! It is BY FAR my favorite holiday! I love everything about it! I love all the lights and the decorations and the food and the feeling! It is so great!! I LOVE it!! I have been itching to put up lights for a while! Finally on the saturday after thanksgiving we started putting them up! Yay!! We spent many hours putting decorations up! This year Brady wanted to wrap our trees with lights. We saw it at the park thing by Willard bay. He thought it would look so cool! Well it does. Now! Haha! It took me many hours and very sore arms to wrap the trees. When we say wrapped this is not just the trunk or some branches. this is like trunk and EVERY branch!! Think trees at temple square! Ya! Luckily our trees are small! Phew! Most needed 2 boxes of lights. But the bigger tree of the 5 (yes 5!!) needed EIGHT strands!! WOW! That one took forever! I didn't even do the whole tree! I ran out of lights and the ladder wasn't tall enough. It still looks great! I wanted something different this year and had this thought to put santa on the roof! Our santa is riding a chopper (motorcycle) so how cool would that be to have santa riding his hog on our roof! Yes he has ditched the sleigh and is using the chopper instead! Haha! We put up some blow up "people" our on our lawn. at first Gus was not thrilled. He was a little scared. One that we put up is a snowman and he is 12 feet tall! Holy cow! He is so huge! it is awesome! It was so cold putting up the lights! But i am very proud! We did a great job!! Thanks Brady!! he is the one that gets to go on the roof! They look so great and i think Murry would be proud! He always went crazy at christmas! I think you could see the lights on his house/yard from space! So cool! He went all out! I think Brady is starting to get a little like that! Haha! I hope Murry is looking down from heaven telling all the other angels: "Thats my boy's house!" Haha! Now for the part you all came for! The pictures!! Enjoy!! Thanksgiving

I am a bit behind on blogging! Haha! Sorry! I have been sorta busy. But mostly just didn't want to do it because it is SO time consuming! Haha! Our Thanksgiving was great! We got to go to 3 this year! Brady's step-mom Julie had a bunch of her relatives over so we stopped by for a few minutes. It was nice to have her new kitchen! So much more room!! She finally got new chairs for her humongous table!! They look so great!! That means GAME NIGHT!!! Haha! She cooked the turkey all by herself and it was very good! We all loved her potatoes! They were so stinking good! Then we found out her secret! She had ordered them from Texas Road house! haha! Cooking the turkey and other things she didn't have time for it all! Nice Julie!! Next we went to my grandma's. Thanksgiving and Christmas are HUGE deals for my family!! Holy cow!!! We had a delicious lunch with everyone and then the BIG event!! The gingerbread houses!! This is like a requirement every year! Even last year when we were with Brady's family we had to go over the next day and decorate ours. I seriously think that there is more candy spread out on those tables then Walmart has for all of Halloween!! Yea a lot! So fun! Then that night for dinner we went down to Brady's mom Jody's. She decided this year to deep fry her turkey! So awesome!! Brady and Josh (his brother) were in charge of cooking it. It was freezing out there!! And the girls and Braxton were inside! Brecklyn helped Nana make potatoes and corn. When dinner was about over Wade and Shailey came with their dogs. This was Gus's favorite part! He loves his "puppy cousins"!! They have 2 great danes and a britany spaniel. One of the great danes Blaze is so funny! He is HUGE! You will see in the pictures!! And he is scared of Gus! Gus came running towards him and Blaze jumped up on the couch! So funny! The dinner was so good! I really liked the turkey that way!! I think though my favorite part was dessert! Josh made a really yummy pumpkin pie!! It was mixed i think with pudding!! It was so creamy and yummy!!! It was such a great day!! I have so many things to be thankful for! My wonderful family and friends! My home, food! I am also thankful for our jobs! So many people don't have them right now!! I am so very greatful for the gospel of Jesus Christ! Without it i would be lost! Truely!! After loosing Murry and our baby i think the two of us would have fallen apart without the gospel! We have recieved so much comfort and peace from our Savior! We KNOW we will see Murry and our little baby again! In the meantime we have 2 amazing angels! I often feel their spirits in our home! It is amazing! I am truely blessed beyond measure! I hope you all had a great holiday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRADY

Today is Brady's birthday! How cool that my two boys have birthdays so close together!! Since Brady is the big 28 today i am going to list 28 things/things i love about Brady!! Followed by a bunch of pictues! (He put his bags of pictures somewhere and i can't find them! So i am making do with what i could find.) :-)

28. He is very handsome! The first time i saw him i thought he was so cute!! I loved his beard! He pretty much can't ever shave it off. Haha!

27. He is so good with kids! My little cousins just LOVE HIM! They made him birthday cards when they were here last weekend. My cousin Angie has twin girls that are 3 and they always talk about Brady and ask about him!

26. He has the biggest heart! Any time anyone needs help he is there! ANd he never complains! Even if it is something he doesn't want to do!

25. He is such a kid! The first time he was at my house he and my sister sarah were chasing each other around the house with squirt bottles! My mom knew he fit in! He also loves to play on the razor!!

24. He has a great family! I could not have picked a better in-law family! They are great! He loves his family so much too!

23. He can fix ANYTHING!!! Seriously! He did some of the wiring in our bathroom and then he fixed some in our kitchen! He also can fix cars, plumbing and anything else!!

22. He wants to be a dad! :-) He was so excited when we got pregnant! He wanted to tell everyone that day!! He had a really hard time when we lost the baby!

21. He is very patient!! This is so great!! He has only been really mad at me twice! He will usually very calmly say something to me. I am sure i am not really easy to live with sometimes! I love him for that!!

20. He has a strong testimony. He told me i may never see him get up in church and bear it but it is so strong!

19. He honors his priesthood! He is always worthy to give blessings and is happy to give them! He also takes me to the temple as often as we can! It is so great! It makes us closer and he feels closer to his dad there.

18. He gets more like his dad everyday! If you know his dad he was a really great guy!! In the past year Brady has grown so much and continues to grow and get more and more like Murry!!

17. He is easy to talk to! Sometimes too easy! Well i talk too much! I will talk and talk to him at night and he will say chels i love you but can we talk about this later?!

16. He is a really hard worker! He worked really hard on the shed and our addition and at his job. The people at his work LOVE HIM!! When i go there they are always saying how great he is and how they appreciate his hard work. It makes me proud! He also works really hard in his church calling! He works Saturday night into sunday morning and still goes to church to fullfill his calling in Young Men's. The other leader told me one day that he appreciates Brady so much. He says he knows he is tired but still comes. I was so proud of Brady!!

15. He makes sacrifices for our family. I know it is hard for him but he does it anyways! He told me he would work more hours (even though it tough) if there was something i wanted to get that we might need a little extra money for. He works long hours so we can have money to pay our bills and buy food.

14. He lets me decorate our house and doesn't moan when i want to do something! I check with him first but he usually is like ok go for it!

13. He likes to hang out with me! Yay!! He asked me to go hunting with him and my brother a few times and i told him i was a jinx cause whenever i went with him they never say a bird! He was like its ok! I like you coming! He also likes me to go run errands with him and just hang out!

12. He watches my weird tv shows with me! I am obsessed with TLC and Discovery Health! And he is not too excited to watch Jon and Kate plus 8 or Deliver me! But he will watch them. I love the retro shows and cartoons that i used to watch when i was little! Like scooby doo and Bewitched (I love satalite!!) Brady will watch them with me. Except sometimes he is like can we not watch scooby doo? haha!

11. He is a college graduate! He really didn't like school and tried to get out of it some times, But he went to and graduated from Weber State! He knew he wouldn't be able to get a very good job without going and also he said that if we are going to tell our kids they need to go then he should go too. So he would not be a hypocrite.

10. He is very selfless and thoughtful! When i gave him his presents today he was like you didn't need to get me anything! And he wasn't being modest. He really doesn't think of himself! He is always thinking of others! he will say oh i haven't talked to my grandma lately i should call her. Or i need to call my mom, she was having a bad day yesterday. He is so sweet!

9. He is so dang funny! He loves to joke and tease! He and sarah are always teasing each other! I am glad people understand his since of humor cause sometimes i am like oh i hope they don't get mad! He and my brother are so much alike. For example someone will ask how they are doing and they will say well i've been better or some smart alec remark just cause they figure all the greeters ever hear is good!

8. Because of him we have a beautiful angel in heaven! :-) We know that if we do what we are supposed to we can raise that baby someday! I also know that our other kids are going to be so darn cute!! I mean look at his little boy pictures!! :-)

7. He makes me want to be a better person! I want to be with him for eternity so i need to be the best person i can!

6. He got me Gus! For along time we wanted to get a dog so i was not alone when we worked in the oil fields. I don't like being alone at night and he wanted "someone" here with me. We saw Gus and fell in love! He is the best puppy!

5. I love listening to him sing! He sings at the top of his lungs when he is mowing the lawn and likes to make up songs to sing to me! :-) He has a pretty good voice. And the songs are so cute! Like he has one that goes to you are my sunshine but has totally different words! Haha!

4. He is my best friend! I love to hang out with him and go on dates! He is so fun to hang out with!

3. (Don't let your kids read this part!!) He makes a really great santa! He LOVES to dress up as santa! Last year he had me as the people i do respite for if he could come over as santa! they loved it! And he dressed up at my grandma hunsakers party! they kids love it! His niece asked him the other day "Brady, are you sad that you always miss santa at the parties!" So cute!!

2. He designed and bought me a BEAUTIFUL diamond wedding ring! Yes he designed it himself! I love it! It is the most beautiful ring in the world!!

1. And the number one reason i love him is cause he is my husband! I get to be married and sealed to him for all of eternity! That makes me the happiest girl in the world!! I love him more than anything in the whole world!! Thank you Brady for all you do! I love you so much!!!
